Donor Spotlight: North London Key Club
Community support comes in many forms, and the North London Key Club has found a meaningful way to make a difference. Their generous donation of birthday kits to Merrymount is a wonderful example of how young people are making a positive impact in our community.
We asked the team to share more about their organization, what inspires their commitment to giving back, and the story behind their birthday kit initiative.
What inspired you to support Merrymount?
We decided to support Merrymount as one of the core missions of the North London Key Club is to support children and youth. Seeing that Merrymount shares the same values, we immediately became interested in helping support Merrymount by providing birthday kits!
When it comes to giving back, what matters most to you/the North London Key Club?
The North London Key Club strives to support local-based charities, non-profit organizations, and help out the local community in general. In past service projects, we’ve mainly focused on helping out children and youth in the London region!
What led you to create Birthday Kits specifically?
The North London Key Club originally gained inspiration after a few executives went to the Key Club International Convention in 2025, where they participated in making birthday kits for children-in-need in Florida. We decided to add our own touch to the project by purchasing toys, favour bags, and everything in between to truly make a child’s day!
What’s a fun fact about you or your organization that most people don’t know?
Key Club is a youth-led organization under Kiwanis, who many know as the non-profit organization that runs the annual Kiwanis Music Festival here in London!
What’s one thing you wish every child could experience or have in their life?
For a child to have a sense of security and belonging!
