For more than 150 years, Merrymount Family Support and Crisis Centre has been a trusted leader supporting children and families through times of crisis and transition. As an accredited children’s mental health centre, Merrymount provides strength-based programs and services that promote the overall well-being of children and families.
Our vision is a strong, inclusive, and safe community where children and families facing difficult times can access timely and effective support. We are guided by our core values: Inclusion, Collaboration, Ease of Navigation, Personalization of Services, and Capacity Building.
We are currently seeking volunteer Board Members who can commit approximately 3-5 hours per month to attend Board and Committee meetings. Board Members provide governance and oversight, contribute to strategic planning and risk management, and act as ambassadors for Merrymount within the community.
Merrymount welcomes individuals from diverse backgrounds who are passionate about our mission and dedicated to upholding our values. We are committed to fostering a Board that reflects a diversity of perspectives, experiences, and skills. We value candidates who have had lived experiences that reflect those of our clients, which may include experiences with low income, mental health challenges, marginalization, and the need to overcome various barriers to achieve success. To strengthen our impact, we seek Board Members with expertise in areas such as mental health, social services, finance, law, business management, fundraising, human resources, marketing, governance, etc.

GALA COMMITTEE
The Gala Planning Committee is responsible for raising funds for Merrymount Family Support & Crisis Centre by supporting, enhancing and implementing the Annual Gala. The purpose of Annual Merrymount Gala Planning Committee will be to work in partnership with Merrymount’s professional staff to plan the event. Additionally, to support the strengthening of the Merrymount brand in the region and to support the optimization of current and future campaigns and activities to enhance brand awareness, understanding and fundraising results.
· Roles & Responsibilities:
o Attend monthly Planning Committee meetings and review/ answer emails in a timely manner
o Secure sponsorship dollars, monetary donations and auction items for the Annual Merrymount Gala event
o Help promote the Gala event to personal and professional connections
o This is a volunteer role and is not subject to monetary or other compensation
· Meetings & Time Commitment
o Monthly, virtual meetings over Zoom from 12:00 – 1:00pm
Specific meeting dates will be selected by the Committee at the end of each meeting
GOLF CLASSIC COMMITTEE

The purpose of Annual Merrymount Golf Classic Planning Committee will be to work in partnership with Merrymount’s professional staff to plan the event. Additionally, to support the strengthening of the Merrymount brand in the region and to support the optimization of current and future campaigns and activities to enhance brand awareness, understanding and fundraising results.
· Roles & Responsibilities:

Looking for an engaging corporate/group volunteering or team building activity? Why not make a difference through our MERRYMOUNT KITS FOR A CAUSE PROGRAM. Help assemble “care kits” for individuals in need. This program was developed specifically to accommodate groups of all sizes, whether you're volunteering with friends, family, colleagues, or on your own, from groups of 3 to 10,000, your contribution directly impacts our community.
