Donor Spotlight: Harris Home Hardware

We are grateful to Harris Home Hardware (1-1080 Adelaide Street N, London) for their generous donation of 12 crockpots in support of our Community Action Program for Children (CAPC). Through CAPC, we work with families with children from birth to age six who may be facing challenges such as poverty or social isolation. CAPC focuses on strengthening parenting skills, improving parent–child relationships, and increasing children’s confidence and overall well-being. As part of this work, many activities within the program center on nutrition and food security.

The donated crockpots will be used within our CAPC program for Families and Infants Together (FIT) participants. FIT supports families with infants aged 0–2 who have been identified as high risk by the Children’s Aid Society of London and Middlesex. As part of a hands-on cooking program, families learn to prepare simple, healthy meals together and build confidence in the kitchen. Having their own crockpot means they can continue practicing these skills at home, creating healthy routines that reduce stress and support positive family time.

Thank you to Harris Home Hardware for helping make this possible.

Your support directly impacts families in our community, equipping them with practical tools that will continue to make a difference long after the program ends.
