Health Zone The Health Zone was established in 2003 through the generosity of the T. R. Meighan Family Foundation and the UWO Alumni. It is a four-year collaborative partnership between Merrymount Children's Centre, the Middlesex London Health Unit and the UWO School of Nursing to provide primary health care services for families in the under-serviced, northeast area of London. The Health Zone is staffed by a full time Nurse Practitioner and a part time Nurse Coordinator. Students enrolled in the Nursing programs at UWO may participate in the provision of services under the supervision of our staff, who are on faculty at UWO. Families can call the Health Zone at 519.434.6848 ex282 to discuss their health issues and to make appointments to see the Nurse Practitioner. We offer routine health assessments, primary care, immunizations and monitoring of chronic conditions. Lifestyle counseling and referral to other health care providers is available.
